Means of Production is a UK-based community arts collective working with schools, youth and community groups, arts organisations, theatres, festivals and creative individuals of all ages.
Get Involved
MOP exists to provide high quality participatory arts experiences that are open to everyone, whatever your background. You can get involved with MOP in the following ways:
Sign up for a course or workshop:
MOP courses are available to individuals, amateur dramatic organisations, professional arts companies, schools, village communities, charity organisations, special interest groups and more. They range from one off workshops to participatory weekends and longer residencies over a number of weeks.
As an unfunded organisation we rely on participation fees to run our courses. We aim to keep these fees as low as possible. As a rule, a minimum of ten people per session is required for us to cover staff and venue costs.
Creative Individuals:
As an individual, you can help make a course viable by gathering a group together yourself, or you can send us your details so we can help hook you up with other interested people in your area and run a course that meets your needs. Drop us a line; we will work up a project outline and budget for you and take it from there.
Organisations:
MOP can help organisations apply for outside funding to run creative projects by helping you to identify sources of funding, working up applications and managing your submissions process. Our initial advice is free, but we do charge an agreed consultancy fee for an extended service.
Arts Practitioners, Organisations and Venues:
MOP are always interested to hear from professional arts practitioners, arts organisations, venues and schools. Please get in touch. We believe in supporting the community of artists in every way possible, and will happily add links to your websites or pass on your details if we come across something you might be interested in.
